Handyman work done by licensed trades.
Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tiling, plaster and painting repairs across Dubai — one call-out, our own staff, and the licences the building will ask you for.
What one call-out can actually cover.
Most handyman jobs in a Dubai apartment or office are not one trade. A leak under a sink is plumbing, then joinery, then making good. Sending one licensed contractor avoids three visits and three arguments about whose job the damage was.
- Leaks, blockages and drainage clearing
- Taps, mixers, traps and flexible connections
- Water heaters, pumps and pressure problems
- WC, basin, shower and kitchen sink installation
- Pipe repairs and re-routing where access allows
- Sockets, switches, isolators and DB board work
- Light fittings, drivers and emergency fittings
- Fault finding on tripping circuits
- Fan, extract and small-power installation
- Testing and certification on completed work
- Doors, locks, hinges, closers and handles
- Wardrobes, shelving and kitchen unit repairs
- Skirting, architraves and trim
- Floor and wall tiling repairs and replacement
- Plaster patching, filling and surface preparation
- Touch-up and full-room repainting
- Water-damage repair and staining treatment
- Hygienic and washable coatings where specified
- Snagging lists before handover or move-out
- The area left clean at the end of the shift
Which one costs you less.
There is no right answer in general, only a right answer for how often the building actually breaks.
| One-off call-out | Maintenance contract | |
|---|---|---|
| How it is priced | Attendance plus labour, materials at cost | Annual fee, with the planned work included |
| Response | As capacity allows | 4 hours emergency, 24 hours standard, written in |
| Planned work | None | Scheduled visits before things fail |
| Records | Job sheet for that visit | Asset register, updated at every visit |
| Best for | A specific problem, occasionally | Anything you are calling about more than a few times a year |
We will tell you which one suits after the survey, including when the answer is that you do not need a contract.
The part that delays most repairs.
In managed buildings the hold-up is rarely the work. It is the NOC, the insurance certificate, the lift booking and the permitted hours — and a contractor who turns up without them gets turned away at the gate.
- Building management NOC and contractor registration
- Insurance and trade licence documents in advance
- Lift protection, access routes and material delivery windows
- Working hours agreed, including Ramadan restrictions
- Who can give access, and when
- Whether the unit is tenanted or vacant
- Any building rules on noise or working days
- Whether the landlord or tenant is instructing the work

Common questions.
What is the difference between a handyman and a licensed contractor?
A handyman can hang a shelf. Electrical work, plumbing alterations and anything touching a building's services need a licensed contractor, and most Dubai buildings will not issue a work permit otherwise. We hold the trade licences, so the same call-out covers both the small jobs and the ones that need paperwork.
Do you take one-off jobs, or only contracts?
Both. A one-off call-out is quoted on attendance; a maintenance contract gives you planned visits plus agreed response windows. If you are calling more than a few times a year, the contract is normally cheaper.
How quickly can someone attend?
Under a maintenance contract, four hours for an emergency and twenty-four hours for a standard call-out. Without a contract, we attend as capacity allows and will tell you honestly when that is rather than promising same-day and not arriving.
Will you deal with the building management and permits?
Yes. Most managed buildings in Dubai require an NOC, insurance details and approved working hours before anyone starts. We handle that as part of the job — it is the usual reason a repair gets delayed.
What do you charge for?
Attendance plus labour, with materials at cost on the supplier invoice. We quote before starting anything beyond the original call, so there are no surprises on the sheet at the end.
Can you work evenings or weekends?
Yes, and in occupied offices and clinics that is usually the sensible choice. Out-of-hours attendance is priced differently and we will say so up front.
Tell us what has gone wrong and where.
We will tell you which trade it needs, what it is likely to cost, and when we can attend — before anyone is dispatched.
